Magnitudle is built on other people's work as well as our own. This page lists it, with the licences and attributions that apply.

Fonts

Nunito, by the Nunito Project Authors (copyright 2014), is used in the app and on this website. It is licensed under the SIL Open Font License, Version 1.1. On this website it is served from our own server.

In languages whose script Nunito doesn't cover, this website uses the fonts already on your device.

The preview images this website draws when its pages are shared use Noto Sans Arabic and Noto Sans Devanagari (copyright 2022 The Noto Project Authors) for Arabic and Hindi, and Noto Sans CJK (copyright 2014–2021 Adobe) for Japanese, Korean and Simplified Chinese. All three are licensed under the SIL Open Font License, Version 1.1. The fonts stay on our own server and are trimmed to the characters those languages need.

Sizes and facts

Every size and fact on this website comes from a cited source, and each size page links the source pages its size was checked against. How we measure sizes explains how the numbers are made, checked and corrected.

Silhouettes and figures

The silhouettes on this website are original to Magnitudle: each was generated as an image with AI and traced into a vector shape. They are not copied from any other source.

The scale figures on this website are drawn from those silhouettes by our own code.

Software

This website is built with Next.js, React and next-intl, and draws QR codes with node-qrcode, all under the MIT licence.
The app is built with Expo and React Native, under the MIT licence.

Apple, iPhone, iPad, Game Center and App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries. App Store is a service mark of Apple Inc.
Google Play is a trademark of Google LLC.
