Terms of use

1. Who we are

Magnitudle is made by FREEDOM LLP, a limited liability partnership registered in England and Wales under company number OC407608, registered office 101 King's Cross Road, London WC1X 9LP, United Kingdom (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at office@freedomgaming.co or through the contact form.

How we handle personal data is explained in the privacy policy, which is part of these terms.

2. The game

Magnitudle is free to download and play. It shows no advertising and has no in-app purchases. If we ever add paid features, we will update these terms before they appear.

We keep improving the game, so levels, the daily challenge, multiplayer modes and other content can change, and features can be added or removed. We work to keep the game running, but we can't promise that it will always be available or free of errors.

Magnitudle is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. If you are under the age at which you can agree to terms like these where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to them for you.

3. Your account

You can play as a guest or sign in with Game Center, and you can save a guest account by linking an email address and password, Google or Apple. Keep your password to yourself: you are responsible for what is done with your account. Don't use someone else's account.

Your nickname is visible to other players in multiplayer matches and on leaderboards. It must not be offensive, hateful or sexual, pretend to be someone else, or advertise anything. We may change or remove a nickname that breaks this rule.

You can delete your account at any time, in the app (Profile, then Danger zone, then Delete account) or on the Delete your account page. What happens after that is explained in the privacy policy.

4. Fair play in multiplayer

Multiplayer, ratings and leaderboards only work if everyone plays by the same rules. You must not:

• use bots, scripts, modified apps or any other tool that plays or answers for you, or that gives you information other players don't have;
• exploit bugs, or interfere with the game's servers or other players' connections;
• arrange results with other players, lose on purpose, or use more than one account to raise a rating or a leaderboard position;
• use nicknames, reactions or anything else in the game to harass other players.

Matches may include our own computer players (bots) when no other player is available in time. They are part of the game and are not a breach of these rules.

If you find a bug that gives an unfair advantage, please tell us instead of using it. If we find that someone has broken these rules, we may remove their results, reset their rating, hide them from leaderboards, or suspend or close their account. We act in proportion to what happened, and you can write to us if you think we got it wrong.

5. The content

Magnitudle's own content — the sizes, facts, silhouettes, scale figures, texts, design and software we make — belongs to FREEDOM LLP. You may use the game and the website for your own personal, non-commercial enjoyment, and you are welcome to share your results, screenshots and links to our pages.

You may not copy our content in bulk, scrape the website or the game's servers, or reuse our content in another product or service without our written permission. Quoting a single fact with a link to the page it came from is fine.

We work hard to get every size right, and how we measure sizes explains how. Even so, sizes are approximate, many things vary in nature, and mistakes happen. The game and the website are for entertainment and learning, not for engineering, medical, safety or other decisions where precision matters. If you spot a mistake, please report it.

This website links to other websites, mostly the sources of our sizes. We don't control them and are not responsible for what they contain.

6. Using this website

Use the contact form only to contact us: no spam, nothing unlawful, and nothing you don't have the right to send. Don't try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the website, the game or our servers.

7. Our responsibility to you

If we fail to comply with these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or of our negligence. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable.

Magnitudle is for personal use. We are not responsible for business losses, such as lost profits, lost business or business interruption.

Because the game and the website are free, they are provided as they are, and we don't promise that they will meet any particular need of yours, except where the law says we must.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit or exclude. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.

8. If you got the game from the App Store

Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the app. We, not Apple, are responsible for the game and for supporting it.

9. Ending

You can stop playing at any time and delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. If we ever decide to stop running Magnitudle, we will tell players in the app in advance where we can.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the game, the website or the law changes. If a change affects you significantly, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. The date at the top shows the current version.

11. Law and disputes

If you have a problem, please contact us first: most things can be sorted out quickly.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes go to the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts. If you live elsewhere in the European Union or the EEA, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country and can bring proceedings where you live.
