Magnitudle FAQ

Each round shows real things as silhouettes and asks you to judge their size: resize one to real scale, put several in order, or tap the biggest. The closer you get, the more you score. How to play Magnitudle covers every round type.

Each level is a short set of rounds on one topic, and your total score earns up to three stars. One star is enough to unlock the next level; how scoring works has the details.

Yes. Magnitudle is free to download and play, with no ads and no in-app purchases.

Magnitudle is made for phones. It is on the App Store for iPhone (on an iPad it runs in iPhone mode) and on Google Play for Android. Please install it only from those two stores, and don't install copies of the game from anywhere else.

On a computer, you can try five practice rounds in your browser.

Every size on this website comes from a cited source, and every item is checked before it appears here. Each size page links the sources its size was checked against. How we measure sizes explains the whole process, including what exactly is measured.

Please do. Use the contact form and choose “A correction to a size”. We check each report against the sources, and resolved reports are listed in our correction log.

Five rounds, the same for every player, with one attempt a day. It mixes all the round types, including estimating a number and working out how many of one thing fit into another. Read more about the daily size challenge.

Every day at midnight UTC, which is the same moment for everyone in the world.

Your streak is the number of days in a row on which you finished the daily. If a whole day (in UTC) goes by without one, it starts again from zero. With notifications on, you get one reminder at 17:00 UTC on any day you haven't finished the daily by then, once you have finished at least one daily.

No. There is one attempt per day, so everyone's result is comparable. If you leave in the middle, you can come back and finish it the same day.

Rated 1v1 duels, 2v2 and 3v3 team matches, a four-player free-for-all, rated practice against a bot, and custom rooms you set up yourself. See multiplayer modes for how each one works.

Yes. Add friends with an invite link, then create a room and share its code. A room holds up to 8 players, bots can fill any empty seats, and room matches don't change anyone's rating.

Rated matches use the Glicko-2 rating system. Your first 10 rated matches calibrate your rating; after that you are placed in a tier from Bronze to Master.

When no player near your rating turns up within 15 seconds, a bot takes the empty seat so you aren't left waiting. Bots play at four levels, from Easy to Expert.

No. You can start playing as a guest straight away, or with Game Center on iPhone. A guest account stays on the device it was created on. A Game Center account comes with you to any iPhone signed in to the same Game Center account.

If you play with Game Center, your progress comes with you: sign in to Game Center on the new phone with the same Apple Account, then open Magnitudle. A guest account stays on the phone it was created on, and the app can't move it to another phone yet. If you need help, contact us.

The app asks for your password only when you delete your account, and it can't reset a forgotten password yet. Contact us from the email address of your account and we'll help.

Yes, on the Profile tab. A nickname has 3 to 20 characters, and other players see it in matches and on leaderboards.

In the app, open the Profile tab, scroll to Danger zone and tap Delete account. This works for every account, Game Center and guest accounts included. If your account has an email address, you can also delete it on the web. Either way, you have 14 days to change your mind: email us at office@freedomgaming.co and we will restore your account.

Your account, how you played, and a few technical facts needed to run the game. There are no ads and no tracking by other companies; the privacy policy lists everything we hold.

Magnitudle is available in English, Ukrainian, German, Polish, Spanish, Italian, Turkish, Brazilian Portuguese, French, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, Russian, Arabic, Hindi, and Indonesian. The app uses your phone's language when it is one of these, and you can change it in Settings → Language. In some languages, parts of the game's content are still in English.

Yes, in Settings → Units. The app picks one from your phone's region the first time you open it. Switching never changes your score, because every answer is judged by the ratio between sizes, not by the numbers on screen.

In both systems, metric first, for example 1.7 m (5 ft 7 in). How we round and convert sizes explains the rules.
